Refund & Returns Policy

At Adventure Capitalists, we stand by the quality of every product we stock and want you to feel confident in your purchase. We comply with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and aim to make the return process straightforward and fair.

1. 30-Day Change-of-Mind Returns

We offer a 30-day change-of-mind return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible:

The return must be initiated within 30 days of delivery
The product must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition
Original shipping costs are non-refundable
No restocking fees apply

Some product categories may have modified return conditions due to hygiene, safety, or manufacturer requirements. Any such conditions will be clearly noted on the relevant product page.

2. General Returns Eligibility

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return
Products must be unused or minimally used (no more than 10% consumed or opened) and in original packaging
Returns are only accepted for products purchased directly through our official website
No items are classified as final sale — all products are eligible for return subject to the conditions in this policy
Items that are fully used, significantly damaged by the customer, or returned after 30 days may not be eligible for a change-of-mind refund, but may still be covered under the CGA if faulty

3. Hygiene and Safety Products

Certain products — including personal care items, health products, or any item that has been unsealed or directly used on the body — cannot be returned once opened or used beyond a 10% trial threshold, except in cases of genuine defect or fault. This ensures product integrity and safety for all customers.

4. Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or is found to be defective:

Contact us at support@adventurecapitalists.co.nz as soon as possible after receiving your order
Provide your order number and a description of the issue — we may request supporting photos or video
We will review your claim and offer a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with your rights under the CGA

5. How to Start a Return

Email support@adventurecapitalists.co.nz within 30 days of delivery
Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and a brief reason for the return
Our team will review your request and provide a return authorisation along with return instructions
Package the item securely and return it to us using a trackable shipping method at your cost
Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund within 5–10 business days

6. Refund Processing

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of us receiving and approving the returned item
Original shipping costs are non-refundable
No restocking fees will be deducted from your refund
If your order originally qualified for free shipping and a partial return brings your order value below the free shipping threshold, a standard shipping fee may be deducted from your refund

7. Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as we cannot accept responsibility for returns lost or damaged in transit.

If your return is due to a fault, defect, or an error on our part, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs upon approval of your claim.

8. Your Consumer Rights

This policy is provided in addition to — and does not limit — your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If goods are faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you have statutory remedies regardless of this policy.
